It's Always an Adventure! After almost two years of planning and lots of pre-trip parties the day finally came when the Cay Cruisers headed off to the next adventure. This time the Cay Cruisers consisted of Brenda and Bill Dorsey, Diane Vickers, Steve Brubaker and us (Kathy Jackson, a.k.a. Capt'n HiHo and Jim Jackson, a.k.a. Capt'n Grey Beard the Benevolent Pirate) and we headed to Australia to sail among the Whitsunday Islands off the northeast coast, dive on the Great Barrier Reef and play tourists in and around the city of Sydney. Check out this interactive map: The Whitsunday Islands. Just zoom out gradually to see where in the world the Whitsunday Islands are located. No matter how hard you try plans change and so was the case for this trip. Most of the time you just can't control the weather, the airlines and other factors, so you have to be flexible. Even though we didn't get to do everything we planned it was still quite the adventure with lots of exciting memories and over a thousand photos to help us remember all of the great things that happened on this trip (don't worry, we're not going to make you sit through viewing all of them - at least not in one sitting!). We'll just have to go back again to do some of the things we missed this time as well as other adventurous activities that Australia has to offer. It's a HUGE country with so many things to do and see. So feel free to take your time checking out the fun and excitement of our journey down under by clicking on this link, Daily Write Ups. Once again we proved that "Life is GREAT"!
